Hello their gamers and welcome back to another top 10 list. This time we will see the Top 10 Most Powerful Gods in Video Games of All Time.
There are many games that contain different Gods from different mythologies or they create their new Gods that are the specific highlight of their game series.
This ranking is not my personal ranking because you know I haven’t played or seen that many games to say that yes! This God deserves no.1 spot.
So just sit back, relax, and let’s see the list of the Top 10 Most Powerful Gods in Video Games of All Time that I have made by researching many other sources.
Table of Contents
10. Raiden (Eternal God of Thunder)
Game Series: Mortal Kombat
About the God
Raiden is one of the oldest characters in Mortal Kombat games and remained relevant today too. Mortal Kombat’s Raiden is the “God of thunder and protector of Earth Realm”. Raiden can teleport and fly but he is well-known for his trademark thunder-manipulating abilities.
As the guardian of the Earth Realm, players suspect Raiden to be incredibly powerful. His divine birth makes him as powerful as any mortal fighter and with the ability to teleport, fly, and control lightning. He is by far the most powerful character in Mortal Kombat.
After defeating the fallen Elder God, Shinnok, for the second time, Raiden was able to achieve the status of the “Elder God”. Where the minor gods hold power over an element, but as an Elder God, Raiden would have experienced a certain amount of control over all the realms in the universe.

9. The Outsider
Game Series: Dishonoured
About the God
One of the most noticeable parts of Dishonored’s game series story setting is the strange being known as “the Outsider”. Being the only god in this games story, the Outsider is a dangerous trickster and considered by many to be a god of evil and a powerful threat.
But it is not the complete truth. The Outsider is more amoral and curious or should I say Morally Grey than just pure evil, and has limits on his power.
His power in the Void seems limitless, including seeing the future. He is unkillable by almost any means. However, he is curbed by only being able to work in the real world through proxies and his specific weaknesses to the twin-bladed knife and his own name.
Like I said, unlike other gods, The Outsider is considered to be neutral as he simply watches the events that happens in the Dishonoured franchise without interfering in any situation.
8. Alduin (Eater of World and Dreams)
Game Series: Elder Scrolls: V Skyrim
About the God
Alduin, also known as the First-Born of Akatosh and the World Eater. This dragon is known for destroying the previous worlds to create the current one which made his presence in the mythology of many ancient peoples. He ruled over the world ruthlessly on multiple occasions.
The player of Elder Scrolls: V Skyrim first encounters Alduin when he reappears in the future and destroys the town, saving the player from execution and beginning to re-establish his reign over the human world.

7. Golden Goddesses
Game Series: Legend of Zelda
About the God
The cosmology of the Legend of Zelda universe is not that consistent, but three recurring deities that we get to see are the beings known as the Golden Goddesses. Each one of the three Goddess associated with Power, Courage, and Wisdom. Din, Nayru, and Farore are known as the creators of the world with each of them having a role to play in its creation.
6. Zanza (The Former Scientist)
Game Series: Xenoblade Chronicles
About the God
A human scientist named Klaus was involved in an experiment to create a new universe and in which he succeeded along with that he destroyed the old one. As he built his world, he became Xenoblade’s Zanza.
As Zana wanted companionship and people to understand him, he created humans as he knew them from the previous world and lived among them and as the world developed, he feared that they would leave him and he will be all alone again.
All the fear created by his loneliness and self-preservation led him to create a cycle or infinite loop in which all life would be destroyed and recreated again. We see the irony of Zanza’s focus on rebirth as he is killed and returns in another form on multiple occasions.
— It is Sad man. Loneliness is a big problem than what we think of it. Just saying —

5. Jubileus (The Creator)
Game Series: Bayonetta
About the God
Being able to create or forge a world shows that it has tremendous power, but it doesn’t necessarily make a being omnipotent. The goal of the villains of Bayonetta is to revive the cosmic being known as Jubileus the Creator, the lord of Paradisio, and a being with the power to reforge the entire cosmos.
They say that if Jubileus is awakened, it can converge the three worlds into one reality with Paradisio dominant, and Jubileus ruling over all of it.
However, even without that power, it is one of the most fearsome foes that Bayonetta fights. The only way she manages to defeat it is to have another powerful being launch its soul into the sun while she destroys its body as well.
4. Kratos (The God Killer – Ghost of Sparta)
Game Series: God of War
About the God
No list of gods would be complete without The Ghost of Sparta, the God Killer. For those that don’t know who he is, Kratos earned his title as a result of Ares tricking him into killing his own family. Ares would later come to regret this when Kratos defeated him and became the new God of War.
Throughout the series, we see Kratos take on nearly every God in Greek mythology (at least the literally important Gods like Hades, Zues, etc), but that doesn’t stop Kratos. When he deals with the Greek gods, he takes on the Aesir Gods now with his son Atreus.
Kratos has not only proven how he is one of the strongest gods in gaming, players have also been able to see how this God of War has grown throughout the franchise.
From God of War: Ascension to God of War: Chains of Olympus till Cod of War: Ghost of Sparta (for Greek Mythology). From this towards the 2018 God of War which takes place in Aesir Mythology and till the current one God of War: Ragnarök.
Mann what a journey from GOW 1 till GOW: Ragnarök.

The game Asura’s Wrath follows the so-called demigod as he fights his way through the greater deities of his environment, seeking to avenge himself and his wife, and to rescue his daughter.
Despite being a mere demigod, Asura shows that he is capable of outfighting most other gods in fiction.
The true climax of his story comes when he faces Chakravartin, the creator deity of his world who offers him genuine omnipotence. Asura refuses, and manages to defeat the all-powerful being in combat through sheer rage.
